Here’s a taste of my short story, Scruff You!, to get you in the mood for hipster barista, Ezra and his mysterious woman of interest.
Ezra is the epitome of Williamsburg sexy. With enough scruff to run your fingers through, the kind of style to make any hipster wanna-be run for the nearest thrift shop, and a cool job as a latte-slinging barista, he’s just the right blend for the mysterious vintage beauty who makes the coffee shop her home-away-from-home every day. Only thing is, this chick won’t give Ezra the time of day—or her real name. But when this enigmatic wonder leaves something behind, Ezra welcomes her into the warmth of the coffee shop, where they wind up trapped together at the mercy of a ferocious thunderstorm. Will Ezra finally get to know the woman he’s been pining over or will his classy imposter tell him Scruff You for once and for all?
